Final Prototype
The Process
La Silla De Huesos or the Chair of Bones is a collaborative design between The Campana Brothers and me. The original inspiration for this project was a design by the Brothers called the Branches Sofa. I was really interested in the contrast between the materials used in the sofa. I brought the contrast between smooth and rough materials into my final design.
Another source of inspiration was a piece of Art Nouveau architecture named Casa Batalo. The Organic curves of the building very much reflect The Chair of Bones. Furthermore, the name of the design was inspired but Casa Batalo. The locals would often call this building the House of Bones, therefore I named my design the chair of bones.
